Are We Talking about God?May 13, 2017 23 Comments
Are We Talking About God? "Infinite Intelligence leads and guides me in all my ways. Perfect health is mine, and the Law of Harmony operates in my mind and body. Beauty, love, peace and abundance are mine. The principles of right action and divine order govern my entire life.
I know my major premise is based on the eternal truths of life and I know, feel and believe that my subconscious mind responds according to the nature of my conscious mind's thinking."
Some would like you to think of "GOD" as the infinite intelligence yet, it is something of an elevated created idea that helps us to reach for a higher awareness of self. And that is ok. It works for that purpose without easing God out (E.G.O.). So what is so interesting about the words that we seem to use in explaining the Divine in layman terms? This helps those that are not in touch with the metaphysical frequency which vibrates to alert one that there is life beneath the subconscious as well.
In life we often hear someone say, "let God take the wheel" as if He is the driver vs the car. Let''s explore this further...
We somehow have believed that we are the passenger in our vehicle of life and "God" is supposed to be the driver. This is a false belief yet many seem to hold to this idea. This is a fallacy in thought. Yet, many believe it since it sounds good no matter how illogical it is.
To be the car/vehicle is to be the carrier, the influence that which encompasses or embodies. To be the driver is to be activator, initiator, the leader, the one with focus and conviction to pursue a path to a specified destination. The driver has to travel within the envelopment of the car/vehicle which transport us to our destination - the glorious Kingdom. Happiness, fulfillment and joy.
Some people want to believe that humans are in the passenger seat and should yield to "faith" and God is the driver. This is a myth. God is not the driver - God is the vehicle which holds the driver, passenger and all passengers for that case. To limit God to be the driver is to subscribe to what is termed mass ideology or group think. This stems from a tradition of hearing this conveyed as a humble faith initiative to say "to say "step out of the way and allow God to take the wheel" of your life is one of the most noblest things to do for your acts of obedience and faith toward the Divine. It seems right yet, not a logical summation of the intent of Free Will for humans. Our intellect is highly developed and capable of complex analysis and solutions. This idea is perpetuated based on our finite way of thinking without challenging the context of this saying or it's intent. I believe that we must look at our role as the driver(Free Will) and the Divine as the car/vehicle (way) to our targeted destination.
